Accessibility at Elves Village

At Elves Village, we aim to make the experience as accessible as possible for all our visitors. Below is information about accessibility in the area:

  • Elves Village Restaurant: The entrance has a ramp, but there is no level landing in front of the door, which reduces accessibility. An accessible toilet is available in Tonttula Restaurant.
  • Elves Hotel: A ramped entrance is available through the side door. One room has an accessible toilet.
  • Santa’s Visitor Center: The building has an accessible entrance and an accessible toilet. Some services are located on a lower level, and the hall has ample space for moving around. The building does not have an automatic door.
  • Santa’s Home: The building is located at the top of a steep uphill path, but the building itself is accessible and equipped with a lift. If necessary, Santa’s Home can also be reached indoors via Santa’s Visitor Center.
  • Outdoor areas: The outdoor route through the Experience Village follows a mostly level, winding road with sand and gravel surfaces. In winter, the routes are maintained by grading, so the surfaces may be uneven.
  • Elves Hideaway buildings (Elf School, Gingerbread House and Wise Elfs Hut): These buildings are accessible via ramps. The exterior and interior doors can be opened. An accessible toilet is available at Elves Hideaway.
  • Seitakivi: There is a small change in level at the entrance, but both doors can be opened if necessary.
Seitakivi has two floors connected by stairs. The interior has an uneven floor, dim lighting and a changing soundscape.
  • Other buildings in the grounds: Unfortunately, some buildings, such as the storehouses, have steps of varying heights.

We recommend visiting with an assistant, especially in winter, to help ensure an accessible experience.
Assistants receive free admission to the area and its programmes.

Everyone experiences the world in their own way. If you or someone in your group has specific needs relating, for example, to vision, hearing or neurodiversity, please contact our sales service before your visit. We will be happy to help you plan an experience that is as comfortable, safe and smooth as possible for everyone.
